Elliot Apland is the Founder and Managing Member of MarbleRock Advisors, where he specializes in solving complex operational, commercial, and real estate challenges that others have been unable to resolve. He is known for stepping into situations where multiple prior attempts have failed and delivering practical, profitable outcomes.

Prior to founding MarbleRock Advisors, Mr. Apland served as a Physical Crude Oil Trader at Eighty-Eight Oil LLC in Casper, Wyoming. In that role, he led the majority of the company’s bulk physical trading and blending operations, while also driving tank farm business development and overseeing commercial activities related to a large-scale crude oil unit train loading terminal and railcar fleet.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Apland held progressive roles with BNSF Railway across both operations and marketing. In his marketing and sales capacity, he was responsible for strategy, forecasting, and business development tied to new production in key Rocky Mountain shale plays.

Mr. Apland has been actively involved in industry leadership, serving as a member of the American Petroleum Institute Rail Subcommittee since its inception in 2013 and representing the API on the Association of American Railroads Tank Car Committee.

He holds an Accounting degree, graduating summa cum laude, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Apland has helped generate hundreds of millions of dollars in value for the companies he has worked with, primarily by identifying and executing solutions to highly complex and often overlooked problems. His work is defined by a pragmatic, results-driven approach and an ability to operate effectively in situations where others have stalled. Outside of his professional work, Mr. Apland enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, wakesurfing, and riding motorcycles.
